Demerit Points Summary

This service is provided by the Northern Territory of Australia (the Territory) solely for the personal information of the person named on the licence required to access this service.

WARNING

  1. The information may include certain traffic offences in relation to you. Unauthorised possession of your driver licence details together with your MVR customer identity number may be used to access this service. To reduce the risk of this happening, you should not disclose to any unauthorised person your driver licence details together with your MVR customer identity number.

I declare that:

  1. I am the person named on the licence required to access this service.
  2. I will not use this service to encroach upon the privacy of an individual.
  3. I will not use this service to determine an individual's eligibility for any matter.

  1. This service is provided as a guide only and you undertake responsibility for assessing the relevance, accuracy and currency of its content. Contact the MVR if you require your licence history, fees will apply.
  2. Changes in circumstances may impact on the accuracy of the information, and the information may change without notice. The Territory gives no warranty or assurance and makes no representation, express or implied, as to the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of this information. The Territory does not warrant or represent that this service is free from any computer virus, defect or other form of contamination.
  3. If this service provides a summary description of a demerit points offence recorded against you, the summary description will not be used by you as a reference to a point of law.
  4. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you waive and release the Territory from any and all claims relating to the use of this information and in no event shall the Territory be liable to any person for loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from the use of or reliance on it for whatever purpose.

The Registrar of Motor Vehicles is required to collect information under the Demerit Points Scheme provisions under the Motor Vehicles Act 1949.
